Starting at the East Athens Community Center, the success of the program led to a relocation to Dudley Park. The new dance center offically opened in Fall 2005. Annual Dance Recital Students enrolled in single classes will have an opportunity to perform in the annual dance recital held at the East Athens Educational Dance Center on Saturday, May 2 & Sunday, May 3, 2009-providing they meet the requirements, and are enrolled in the Winter/Spring quarter classes. Beginning Jazz/3rd grade-15 years Ages: 3rd grade (8 years) - 15 years Date: Wednesdays, August 27 - November 12 Time: 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. (Studio B2) Location: East Athens Educational Dance Center (706) 613-3624 Registration: Monday, June 2 – Thursday, July 31 / 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. No Friday registrations. Fee: $25 for 12 weeks Adult Classes Registration is now open for adult dance classes in the fall. Adult Tap Get in shape by tap dancing those pounds away! This adult class offers a variety of tap dance steps guaranteed to have you dancing down grocery aisles. Ideal for adults of all ages and levels who just want to keep fit. Class meets one day a week for 12 weeks. Class is subject to change. Fee: $30 for 12 weeks / $5 per class for drop-ins Adult Ballet This class is designed to introduce adults to the fundamentals of ballet while helping to increase physical strength, flexibility, coordination, and endurance.
