Day Camps

ACC Leisure Services offers several day camp opportunities for the upcoming summer.

ACC Leisure Services Summer Camp Registration Kick-Off 2010
Summer camp registration begins for Athens-Clarke County residents, Saturday, April 10, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Classic Center. Free parking is available in the Classic Center Parking Deck.

Parents are reminded to bring the following documents to registration:

Child's birth certificate
ACC Leisure Services Socholarship Card (if applicable)
Utility Bill (proof of residency)
Photo ID

Parents may register a maximum of two households. The age control date is September 1, 2010.

The following week, registration continues at individual facilities during regular hours of operation.

Non-ACC residents may register beginning Wednesday, April 14 during regular hours of operation.

Parent Reminder: Parents wishing to apply for an ACC Leisure Services Scholarship are strongly encouraged to do so before the day of camp registration. Click here for scholarship information

Broadacres Day Camp 2010 - Time Travel Camp: Back to the Future and Everywhere in Between (706) 613-3600
From Dinosaurs Days to The Old West, onto the Roaring Twenties, and into the Future, come time travel with us! We will swim, take field trips, play games and have plenty of arts & crafts!

Fee: $25 ACC resident; $38 Non-ACC resident

East Athens Day Camp 2010 (706) 613-3593
Program includes a variety of activities of such as team sports, arts and crafts, music, learning to swim, field trips, Resource Library and more.

Time: 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Fee: $29 ACC resident per week $44 Non-ACC resident per week

Lay Park Summer Day Camp 2010 (706) 613-3596
Program includes a variety of activities of such as team sports, arts and crafts, music, learning to swim, field trips, Resource Library and more.

Fee: $29 ACC resident per week; $44 Non-ACC resident per week

Memorial Park Day Camp 2010 (706) 613-3580
Program includes a variety of activities, such as team sports, arts and crafts, music, swimming, trail hikes, lectures, movies, field trips, and much more!

Parkview Day Camp 2010 - Nature Explorers: The World Around Us (706) 613-3601
Learn about the nature in our own back yards, talk about animals near and far, build our own volcanoes, plant a container garden, investigate Wacky Weather, and learn how to Go Green during our nature adventures, as well as take weekly field trips, swim, enjoy games, sports, arts & crafts, and the computer lab.

Rocksprings Day Camp 2010 - Harry Potter Camp: Muggles, Magic, and Mayhem (706) 613-3603
Join us for eight weeks of Harry Potter-themed activities including cooking classes using recipes from J.K. Rowling's famous series, potions classes, learn the art of caring for magical creatures, and play a game or two of quidditch, while taking weekly field trips, swimming, and spending time in the computer lab.

Sandy Creek Day Camp 2010 (706) 613-3615
A unique week long day camp that combines summer fun and recreation at Sandy Creek Park with natural exploration, hiking and discovery at Sandy Creek Nature Center.
