Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services is currently seeking to hire 18 lifeguards for the summer, and additional pool management staff along with substitute lifeguards. Any chosen applicant who receives his/her certification this spring will be reimbursed for his/her certification course if the applicant signs an agreement to work as a lifeguard for ACC Leisure Services this summer. Lifeguards will receive half their reimbursement at the beginning of the summer, and the remaining half at the end of the summer, if they work for ACC Leisure Services. Lifeguard Certification opportunities abound in Athens-Clarke County including the Ramsey Center at the University of Georgia, the Athens YMCA, and YWCO. ACC Leisure Services will begin accepting summer applications in January 2009.
