Please note registration information as it is listed for each program and facility. Registration Fees Fees are due at the time or registration. Checks should be made payable to "Athens-Clarke County." Scholarships Any Athens-Clarke County resident under the age of 18 may apply for a scholarship when enrolling in a class or program that charges at least $10 per participant, except the East Athens Educational Dance Center. Bishop Park's Teens and Special Interest programs offer a limited number of scholarships. Documents used to determine the amount of a scholarship award include Federal Income Tax Returns, Peach Care, Medicaid, and TANF. Scholarships do NOT cover entrance, admission, rental fees, or adult programs. For more information, please call (706) 613-3625. Refund Policy If a class or program is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment or other reason, ACC Leisure Services will issue a full refund to all rgistered individuals. No refunds will be granted after the start of the program or class. Refund requests must include a Refund Request Form. Refunds will be assessed a 25% administrative fee. After the seven (7) day deadline, refunds will not be granted without a written medical excuse from a licensed physician. Requests must be received from and refunds will be issued to the individual who registered the participant. Programs in high demand may require a non-refundable deposit in lieu of the 25% administrative refund fee. Smoking Policy According to the Athens-Clarke County Smoking Ordinance smoking is prohibited in all ACC facilities - including parks. Sec. 4-3-2. Smoking Prohibited in Athens-Clarke County Facliites Smoking shall be prohibited in all enclosed facilities of, including buildings owned, leased, or operated by the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County. Smoking shall be prohibited within the boundaries of any park, youth sports complex, or recreation area owned, leased, or operated by the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County, including any open area within such park, youth sports complex, or recreation area.
